Roberto Cigolini

Roberto D. Cigolini is Full Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the School of Management, Politecnico di Milano (Polimi), where he is also Director of the Supply Chain Planning Research Center and the Global Executive Master in Operations and Supply Chain (GEMOS).
He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM) and the Editorial Board of Production Planning & Control (PP&C). He is a member of the MBA Advisory Board at TIAS School for Business and Society (Tilburg – Eindhoven, Netherlands) and the Ph.D. program in Management Engineering at Polimi.
Professor Cigolini has held visiting and adjunct appointments at the University of Illinois (Chicago), EADA Business School (Barcelona), and Purdue University (West Lafayette). He is also a founder and board member of the International Maintenance Association.
Beyond academia, he is Partner at Masterplan Consulting Ltd. and has served as consultant and board member in various industries.
He graduated cum laude in Management Engineering from Polimi and is fluent in Italian, English, and French.
