About the Event
About World Maintenance Forum
The World Maintenance Forum (WMF) is the premier global platform of the International Maintenance Association (IMA), bringing together industry leaders, maintenance and reliability professionals, asset managers, researchers, technology providers, policymakers, and decision-makers from around the world to shape the future of maintenance and asset management.
Designed as a catalyst for knowledge exchange, innovation, collaboration, and professional development, WMF serves as a unique meeting point where global challenges, emerging trends, best practices, research findings, and transformative technologies are discussed and translated into practical solutions for industry.
The forum fosters cross-sector dialogue and creates opportunities for organizations and professionals to learn from international experiences, build strategic partnerships, and contribute to the advancement of maintenance excellence worldwide.
Through thought leadership sessions, technical presentations, research dissemination, networking opportunities, and industry engagement, WMF supports the development of more reliable, sustainable, efficient, and resilient organizations. It also reinforces IMA's mission of promoting excellence in maintenance, reliability, asset management, facilities management, and operational performance on a global scale.
As a flagship initiative of IMA, the World Maintenance Forum represents more than an event—it is a global movement dedicated to advancing professional standards, encouraging innovation, bridging academia and industry, and strengthening the international maintenance community for the benefit of industries, economies, and society.
World Maintenance Forum 2022
The World Maintenance Forum 2022 was successfully conducted as a hybrid international event, bringing together maintenance, reliability, asset management, facilities management, engineering, and operations professionals from across the globe through both in-person and virtual participation.
The forum served as a global platform for knowledge exchange, professional collaboration, and thought leadership, enabling industry practitioners, researchers, academics, and decision-makers to discuss emerging challenges, innovative practices, and future directions for maintenance and asset management.
A key highlight of the forum was the presentation and dissemination of the International Maintenance Association's flagship research study, "The Role of Maintenance Standards to Achieve an Excellent Maintenance Model."
The study explored the relationship between maintenance standards, organizational performance, reliability improvement, operational excellence, and long-term asset sustainability. Participants engaged in discussions on how structured maintenance frameworks and internationally recognized standards can support organizations in achieving higher levels of efficiency, safety, reliability, and business value.
The event reinforced IMA's commitment to advancing maintenance excellence globally by creating opportunities for professional development, research dissemination, international networking, and collaboration between industry and academia.
